Thanks to this community, our 8th annual Gear Swap was our biggest success yet. Over 500 families donated gear, more than 540 families came to shop and together we raised over $25,000, surpassing our goal.

This two-day gear swap event runs on community spirit, sustainability, and generosity. Every piece of gear donated and every dollar raised helps make sure cost is never the reason a student misses out on an enrichment experience.

None of this happens without an incredible amount of work behind the scenes. Thank you to the planning committee for the months of preparation that made this event run smoothly. Thank you to Blizzard, our sponsor, for supporting the event from the start. Thank you to Lunds & Byerlys for donating shopping bags, Chad Bell of TRex Cycle Works for bike inspections and to Heather Edelson and her team for the donuts and coffee, with proceeds from that stand donated back to Edina Give and Go. Thank you to the EHS football team for their hands-on help during the drop off event. And thank you to the countless volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this Gear Swap a success.

We are proud to announce that the Hornets Sports Sampler, featuring five different sports (Baseball, Soccer, Lacrosse, Dance, and Tennis) across four action-packed days, raised over $16,000 for Edina Give and Go and participating Hornet Teams.

Edina High School coaches and athletes led skill-building clinics, helping to spark enthusiasm and confidence in 416 students who participated. Hornet Sports Sampler was a collaborative effort that blended mentorship, athletics, and community spirit, making this year’s Sports Sampler an inspiring success for all involved.

A huge thank you to the Edina Dash organizers (students - Drew and Benji Dillon) and the Edina community for your energetic support and generosity! Thanks to your amazing efforts, the Dash raised $11,000 with every penny going to Edina Give & Go and the Edina Community Foundation.

Your enthusiasm, whether sprinting down 50th Street or cheering from the sidelines, helps break down cost barriers for Edina students in sports, arts, and enrichment programs.

We're thrilled to share that Edina Give and Go has received a $10,000 Hennepin County Youth Activity Grant, awarded in partnership with Edina Public Schools, to support our Instruments for All program.

Instruments for All covers musical instrument rental fees so no student has to sit out band or orchestra because their family can't afford an instrument. Combined with ongoing support from the Edina Rotary Foundation, this grant now covers the program's full $15,000 budget for the year, meaning every eligible student who needs an instrument this year will have one.

Edina Public Schools served as the Local Government Unit on the application, with Edina Give and Go as co-applicant. This grant is a direct result of the partnership we've built with the district over the years, and a reminder of how far our work stretches when schools, community organizations, and funders like Hennepin County and Edina Rotary all pull in the same direction.

This grant means more students get to walk into band or orchestra standing right alongside their peers, thanks to our supporters.

Edina Give and Go is looking for EHS students who want to make an impact beyond the classroom. Stop by our table at the Activities Fair on September 17 during all lunches to learn more and apply for our Student Ambassador Board.

Last year, our ambassadors organized a fun run and bake sale that brought the community together. In past years, they've led a book drive and a formal wear drive that helped hundreds of Edina students find homecoming and prom attire.

If your student cares about giving back and wants real leadership experience, encourage them to stop by. Ambassadors help lead initiatives, connect with local partners, and shape how Give and Go serves Edina families.
