Are you looking for summer opportunities for your children this summer?

Just like we have for the past seven summers, here at Edina Give and Go we’re working to remove financial barriers so Edina Public Schools students can access opportunities that exist.

This summer will certainly be different in many ways, but we’re here for you. Reach out to us with questions – email info@edinagiveandgo.org or call 952-848-4483.

What You Need to Know
  • Students who meet Edina Give and Go granting guidelines have up to $500 for summer activities (CLICK HERE to see granting guideline details)
  • Students can use summer granting dollars for online programming
  • We want to support parents returning to work, so for Summer 2020 families can request to apply student granting dollars to school-aged care needs.
  • Below you will find some information for opportunities this summer. Granting dollars ARE NOT limited to these offerings.

Camps and Classes

Edina Community Education Camps/Classes

As of May 14, existing summer camp/class registrations have been canceled. Refunds will be processed individually for any payments you have made.

The Edina Community Education team is building an approach that is online-focused with more in-person activity options later in the summer, dependent on space and safety guidelines.

Registration for these options will happen in a phased approach over the next weeks and months. Registration for new, online-only class options:

  • May 26: Registration opens for June summer enrichment programming options
  • June 23 (tentative): Registration opens for July of summer enrichment programming
  • July 7 (tentative): Registration opens for August of summer enrichment programming

Kici-Yapi Camp Scholarships

Day camp and leadership camps are currently still scheduled. If camps are canceled, you will be refunded any payments you have made in-full. If you would like to cancel camp registrations now, reach out to Krista at the Edina Resource Center at 952-848-3938 or  Krista.Phillips@edinaschools.org.

Tutoring

Some families have asked about academic tutoring options for students this summer. We partnered with local tutoring providers and have highlighted a couple of options to consider for your student (s) below.

You are NOT limited to these providers and can identify and request to apply granting dollars to another provider.

College Nannies + Tutors, Edina

College Tutors and Nannies special pricing available June-August for students who meet Edina Give and Go qualifications.

Locally owned and operated, College + Nannies and tutors can support your family virtually or at their neighborhood offices (depending on state guidance regarding COVID-19). Staff are available to provide support for students for one-on-one or small group attention to support reading, math, science, social studies, or study + organizational skills. College test prep and essay writing tutors are also available.

Call Natalie Steen, Learning Center Manager, at 952-698-2014 to learn more about the options and to schedule a personal family consultation via phone.
