Band and orchestra programs are a huge part of 5th grade in all Edina elementary schools. In the spring of 4th grade, students meet with band and orchestra directors to choose an instrument. Many students then rent their instruments from music stores which provide 6-8 private summer lessons along with the instrument. This summer 68 students from economically disadvantaged families will get to participate in up to 4 weeks of summer camps through Edina Community Education.
